This dissemination event shares the learnings from a 3-month feasibility study sponsored by BEIS exploring the use cases, costs, benefits and technical prototype of a smart meter energy data repository. The Smart Metering System is a rich source of energy related data but this data is effectively distributed across the millions of meters that generate and store it. Technical and regulatory barriers prevent access and utilisation data effectively and efficiently.
