Session Summary:
The Energy Transition will fail unless there is a radical re-think of how we plan. Developing and implementing a Local Area Energy Plan can often be challenging and time-consuming without access to accurate energy network data, and local area data. This session will unpack how spatial analytics and digital twins are supporting cross-sector planning and collaboration between local authorities, distribution network operators, and wider stakeholders to identify prime sites for low-carbon technologies and plan the local decarbonisation of transport, heat and power.
