Advanced Infrastructure Shortlisted for a Trio of British Renewable Energy Awards

Grace Martin, Head of Marketing, Advanced Infrastructure

This year’s British Renewable Energy Awards (BREA’s) organised by the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology is back for 2023.

Now celebrating its 18th edition, having begun in 2006, the awards recognises the brilliant work of those pushing for change and a highlight of the renewable energy calendar.

The Awards honour the organisations and individuals who have enabled the industry to do the amazing work we see today as we push for Net Zero by 2050.

Amongst the finalists, Advanced Infrastructure has been shortlisted for a trio of awards for their LAEP+ (Local Area Energy Planner Plus) Platform in the categories of 'Accelerating Net Zero' and 'Low Carbon Transport'. In the Project category, Advanced Infrastructure's joint submission with Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks for Project RESOP has also been shortlisted for the 'Project' category award for 2023.

Advanced Infrastructure develops and provides spatial analytics and digital twins for the energy transition. The company helps local authorities, distribution network operators and consultants to plan the rollout of low carbon infrastructure.

The net-zero planning spatial analytics platform for Local Area Energy Plans puts hundreds of datasets and analysis tools in the hands of local authorities, energy network operators and stakeholders. This supports planners to identify the optimal locations of low-carbon technologies such as EV charge points and heat pumps as well as informing long-term energy strategies and plans.

LAEP+ uses digital twins to support decision making by local stakeholders and forecasts network capacity, building retrofits, heat networks, and EV rollouts all in one platform. Hundreds of API integrations ensure that all decisions are made on the latest, building stock, sociodemographic and energy network data.

Over the past three years, the company has built a client base of public and private sector organisations including Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, Oxfordshire County Council and Dundee City Council through project LEO and RESOP as well as B2B and B2C organisations such as Zapmap and Cepro.

The 2023 Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner will take place back in London in The Ballroom at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, in the heart of Mayfair on 23rd of June.
